Kate Winslet scored a nice gift from new uncle Richard Branson: a $200,000 ticket to space on a Virgin Galactic flight.
The Titanic star married Branson’s nephew Ned RocknRoll (yes, that’s his legal name) earlier this week in a secret ceremony in New York. However, the ticket wasn’t a wedding gift, or anything to do with RocknRoll’s official job title: Head of Marketing Promotion and Astronaut Experience at Virgin Galactic
Instead, Branson offered the ticket after Winslet saved his 90 year-old mother Eve from a fire on Branson’s Necker Island retreat last year, according to British newspaper The Sun
